Whitney Katz

Whitney Katz is a certified Yoga alliance 200hr RYT. She reveals the heart of the practice through positivity, care and joyfulness. Her teaching reflects a playfulness while encouraging students to embrace the edge with care. She carries the message of community into each classroom by checking in with individual needs and then building a platform for possibility.

Whitney Katz knows first hand how varieties of yoga can reveal balance to an unbalanced life. She experienced her own transformation through yoga after being bedridden for over three years. From the moment she walked into Namaskar in July of 2014 after finallly receiving approval to go back to yoga, she knew not only the importance a personal practice would be along her path to healing, but also the fun, heart-warming, community-based,  and healthy lifestyle she would embrace.   She continues to explore the practice with the intention of helping others to heal and transform their own mind, body and soul.

Whitney completed her 200-hour Registered Yoga Alliance Teacher Training at Yoga Now with AmyBeth Treciokas in 2015 and enjoys the never-ending journey of learning and exploring yoga. She  continues to expand her yoga knowledge with self study and with the guidance of her teacher mentors.  She is making her way through her 300-hour training with Shana Marie Stitzel. Whitney teaches vinyasa, mindful, restorative & yin yoga classes.

Outside of yoga, she remains a lover of sunshine, warm walks in nature, cherished time with friends and family and being mom to her two favorite pets, Peaches and Smokey.

"I love the healing yoga brings and how it has helped me cognitively, spiritually, and physically.  I find happiness in all aspects of yoga...from looking forward to going to class, attending, and the effects that last throughout the day after practicing.  As a teacher, it is my goal to share that with others.
